I watched her video 3 times on Sunday alone because it is so inspiring, and I've been watching it every day since. Amanda was so right in her commentary that we are all so cynical in our judgement of the "cover". What's inside of each of us is what's important. Dean, your message highlights that each of us do have something wonderful to share with the world. It's up to us to be courageous and passionate enough to let our lights shine. Susan's performance resonates in so many ways -- the visceral reaction to her actual sound, projection, and delivery (chills ran up and down my spine, to quote another lyricist); the inspirational element (there but for timidity, talent, and access go I); and the underdog spirit (you GO, girl! show those self-important judges that they should not vote with their eyes or their pre-conceived notions).
